What is a Happy New Mum mentor?
Happy New Mum’s mission is to support mothers by creating an open and safe space to discuss mental health issues and self-care.
From our experience, we know how important it is to have a supportive community during good and especially bad times, which is why we have started this support network.
A Happy New Mama Mentor is here to help. Think of a Happy New Mum mentor as a volunteer support line, you can contact her when you need advice, support or generally, if you just want someone to talk to! So, if you are looking for advice or support from another mum our mentors are here for you! They are mums just like you, who have been through the same ups and downs, and would like to help in any way they can.

I’m Katie, a 30-something mum who lives in Glasgow with her husband, toddler daughter and ginger cat. By day, I’m a digital content designer working in the public sector. By night, I’m blogging away about feminism, flexible working, travel and toddler-wrangling.

I know how hard it can be to be a new mother. You’re overwhelmed, exhausted and confused – without the right support, it can be easy to feel lost. Just talking to someone who has been through it before can help you feel a little bit less alone.

I want to help purely and simply because no Mum, no one at all in fact, should ever feel alone or that they have nowhere to turn.
Hi, I’m Jacqui, a mom to 5, through adoption and natural conception. I started my blog when I took 2 years off to be a SAHM. I write about my day to day adventures and misadventures in parenting, life, and marriage. My blog is an honest account of my MESSY “mamahood”. Tales about the joy, the fun, the laughter and the tears of parenthood can be found there. A teacher with a BA in Psychology.

Parenting is one of the most rewarding yet difficult experiences ever. There are so many emotions that flow through you. Sometimes those emotions can get the better of you, having someone to talk too, share with and journey through these experiences may help in conquering the fog that we call parenthood.

I want to help because when I had my first child seven years ago I felt isolated and alone . I didnt have anyone to really talk to , so I relied on online networks. I’d like to be able to provide that same support for other mothers.
